Paizo Inc. and KOEI TECMO GAMES Announce Collaboration for Official Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE 13 Omens Story The story will delve into one of the spirits of Minakami Village, bringing the terror of Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE to tabletop roleplaying games. Paizo and KOEI TECMO GAMES unveiled their collaboration today as part of the ongoing Kickstarter campaign for 13 Omens, a rules-lite horror tabletop roleplaying game. “We’re excited to work with KOEI TECMO GAMES to bring the horrors of Minakami Village to tabletop roleplaying games for the first time,” said Paizo Publisher and Chief Creative Officer Erik Mona, “13 Omens players will get to experience the lore of Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE firsthand and tell their own stories in this rich, terrifying world.” To kick off this collaboration, Paizo will be producing one 13 Omens Story Zine set in Minakami Village as part of the inaugural 13 Omens launch. This story, written by Eleanor Ferron and developed by James Jacobs, will delve into the mystery of one of Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE’s iconic figures: the Twin Dolls. Based on the critically acclaimed video game “Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly REMAKE,” this story puts 13 Omens players in at the forefront of terror as victims trapped in a village haunted by ghosts that can be fought only with the spiritual power of the Camera Obscura. Can you survive the night, or will the eerie photographs you capture be all that remains? Kickstarter backers will be the first to access this story, alongside receiving a campaign-exclusive price for the zine in print or PDF format.
