When Science Conquers Death, Beliefs Fracture in Beyond Methuselah, a New Film from Doubtless Dreamers

Doubtless Dreamers announces that, following an award-winning festival run, Beyond Methuselah arrives on DVD and Blu-ray December 1, 2026. A TVOD release will follow in early 2027.

A visceral drama about how belief can bring us together or violently tear us apart, Beyond Methuselah explores what happens when a scientific breakthrough threatens deeply held beliefs about life, death, and the natural order. How far will people go to defend their beliefs? And when does conviction become fanaticism?

The film refuses to make these answers easy. As convictions harden into certainty, characters on opposing sides come to see violence not merely as justified, but as a moral obligation.

Three years ago, an experimental cancer treatment had an unexpected side effect: immortality. Some celebrate the discovery, while others oppose it as defying God’s will. When the treatment is made universally available, a group of extremists escalates the culture war into a bloody one. Two estranged sisters race to find their mother before the terrorists do, while their father wrestles with how the rhetoric from his pulpit might be complicit in the mounting violence.

“We set out to make a film that explores how loved ones are torn apart by ideology, and the slippery slope of righteousness,” said filmmaker April Grace Lowe.

More information about the film including a trailer, key art, press kit and more is available at the film’s website: https://beyondmethuselah.com/

Screener copies for review and interviews are available upon request.
