Evil Within 2 players, although loving the game itself, has cited the lack of First Person Mode as one of the game’s biggest shortcomings. Well, sometimes when fans speak, the developers listen. The update is currently available and the switch from third to first person is as easy as ticking the options in the game’s menus. When asked about the decision, developers Bethesda had this to say:
“A lot of players like playing horror games in first-person, so for those who want to see some of the game’s situations through Sebastian’s eyes, it’s a really neat experience,” said Tango Gameworks producer Shinsaku Ohara in a release. “I think exploring Union in first-person makes the scale feel even bigger than it does when you’re in third-person. Also, being able to see our environments and enemies up close allows players to get an even better look at how much effort went into their designs.”
PS4, PC and XBOX ONE players can get the update now and those looking to test the brackish waters of Evil Within 2 can check out the new mode in the demo version of the game as well.
