Killervision (2014)
Directed by Dale Trott, Killervision is about Jared who is left with mild brain damage after him and his friends are in a car wreck. While watching movies, Jared starts seeing images of his friends from the car wreck being murdered by a masked killer. He passes these visions off as side effects from the car wreck until one by one his friends are brutally murdered.
Jared had a bright future until the wreck. The brain damage he has is mild enough that he can still function normally in life but it makes school and work almost impossible to complete. Added to this Jareds mom is dating his therapist, and his relationship with his friends has changed, he has become distant, as he spends all his time with his girlfriend.
While watching a movie he sees a vision of one friend being brutally murdered by a masked killer. Each movie he watches causes a new vision of a different friend being murdered. As these vision become reality, his girlfriend encourages Jared to reach out to his friends to warn them of this killer.
With plenty of red herrings, a solid story and decent acting, this little Australian movie is pretty good. The major knock on this is it’s very talkie, lots of talking, not enough action, but this isn’t a straight up horror, it’s more psychological, so that’s to be expected.
