TERROR FILMS RELEASING has teamed up with 741 Films and writer/director Wes Clark to bring the psychological horror, “The Psychic: Files”, to streaming platforms worldwide. Starring Shelby Latterman, Jason Dezik, and Amanda Schoonover, The Psychic: Files follows two ambitious streamers who break into a psychic’s home in pursuit of clout and viral attention. What begins as a reckless stunt becomes a nightmarish descent when they discover that the spirits inside are being controlled by something far more sinister.
Produced through the expanding 741Films genre slate, the film reflects the company’s focus on developing, financing, and producing bold, audience-driven horror, thriller and manga properties.
The Psychic: Files is the first part of a continuing series of stories conceptualized by 741 Films.
Clark had this to say about the making of the film:
“The Psychic: Files was born from a fascination with our digital age’s illusion of connection. We live in a world where the flicker of a ‘live’ button convinces us we are seen, valued, and sated, but when danger closes in, when the lights go out, those thousands of followers vanish into the void. I chose to frame this story through the claustrophobic lens of found footage, a genre I’ve long been drawn to for its immediacy, its rawness, and its ability to turn the familiar into something terrifyingly intimate.
The result is a film that feels like a nightmare captured in real time: polished enough to follow, yet uncomfortably raw, like scrolling through a livestream you shouldn’t be watching. Because ultimately, this is not just a horror film. It is a reflection of our collective dependency on the digital gaze, and a reminder of its fragility”
