Review-in-a-Minute – City of Lust (2013)

A traumatized shy girl runs away from her suburban home to the big city. Works at a salon and forms a relationship with a sex phone operator. Abusive people in her life begin to disappear….violently. |

Is she as innocent as she appears, or is somebody setting her up? Let’s be honest with a title like “City of Lust” you just wanna know about the sex / nudity. There’s a little nudity, and implied sex.

I can’t even call it a horror movie. Its more in the vein of “Giallo” genre films of the early 80’s. Which is basically a mix of crime, thriller, mystery and eroticism.
Is this a good film? No. But it aspires to be more than a cookie cutter Hollywood film and that is a good thing.
