I remember seeing pictures of Kirk Hammett’s horror collection in the pages of Metal Edge magazine when I was in junior high. As a horror lover and a little metalhead myself it was a pretty amazing thing to see one of my then idols surrounded by the other genre that also captivated me. Although my musical interested have changed as I got older, my love of horror obviously only strengthened. Looks as though Hammett kept up his collection too as a portion of his horror art collection will be displayed at the “It’s Alive! Classic Horror And Sci-Fi Art From The Kirk Hammett Collection” from July 13, 2019 to January 5, 2020 in Toronto, Canada.
