Lou Simon’s “3” confirms that the most terrifying crimes are remarkably fabricated.

Prolific Latina writer-director Lou Simon has just completed her 5th feature film in her 7-year filmmaking career. Simply entitled 3”, this suspenseful and horrific torture feature has more depth and social relevance than it appears on the surface. The spine-chilling psychological horror, about rape and revenge, is part of the Official Selection at the HorrorHound Weekend, a festival that showcases the scariest contemporary genre cinema. Director Lou Simon is also a guest speaker on the Filmmakers Panel.

“3” tells the visceral and highly emotional story of a man and a woman who kidnap her rapist in order to extract a confession from him. Locked up in the basement of a remote home, the offender is unwilling to admit his act on camera and relentlessly asserts his innocence. With time running out before the police shows up, how far is the duo willing to go for justice and what if they are wrong?

“‘3’ is something completely different from anything I’ve done — a psychological horror that hopefully tests the audience’s values between right and wrong and keeps them guessing for what truly happened,” says director Lou Simon.
