Horror-Fix Announces Role as Producer on Ultra-Violent “My Girlfriend the Serial Killer”

The Samantha Marie directed horror film ‘My Girlfriend the Serial Killer” has been an increasing presence in the horror community since the film was first announced. Also starring Marie as the titular serial killer and the film’s namesake, the film has hit some major milestones since its debut on Indiegogo, the premiere crowdfunding platform. In addition to the announcement of genre veteran and scream queen Felissa Rose to the cast the filmmakers were also able to hit social media on Halloween Day after the campaign successfully raised 10K towards its goal.

Now, as the campaign heads into November, indie horror news site Horror-Fix has jumped into the fray, officially coming on board in a producer capacity. Ash Hamilton, owner and contributor to the site spoke excitedly about the development, “I love the film’s promise of copious amounts of gore and mayhem and with such a strong female presence both I front of and behind the camera, well, our involvement was a no-brainer.”

The film, still 11 days out form the end of its campaign, has already generated enough funds to ensure its production. In addition to Rose, the film has also casted Nick Gomez of The Walking Dead fame and includes award-winning cinematographer Derek Huey as part of their crew

Hamilton, who directed the award-winning short “Play with Me” has also served as producer on his own film, Matt Frame’s “Camp Death III in 2D” and the forthcoming “Slice and Dice” from acclaimed director Thomas Haley.
