Dutch horror short “Netflix & Chill” selected for prestigious Canadian Fantasy Film festival

The short horror Netflix & Chill will be making it’s cross US/Canadian premiere at the prestigious Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal, Quebec. The 22nd edition of the festival will take place from July 12th to the 2nd of August.

Netflix & Chill, about a threeway date from hell between a boy, a girl and a TV screen, is the big screen debut young director Michael Middelkoop. So far, the movie has been making rounds at several film festivals in Europe, including the Netherlands Filmfestival, the GoShort Filmfestival and the Fantosfreak International Short Film Festival in Spain.

The Fantasia festival isn’t completely unknown with Dutch horror films. Last year it premiered the horror short Sweeth Tooth by director Nico van den Brink, which proceeded to get picked up by New Line Cinema [1] and is currently turned into feature film produced by James Wan.
