Shane Evans and Ross Childress of Collective Soul fame will be joining the Women in Horror Film Festival. Collective Soul’s song ‘Better Now’ was featured on the soundtrack of the film ‘Cursed’ directed by Wes Craven and produced by WIHFF special guest, Marianne Maddalena. Childress also had his song “Dandy Life” featured on the soundtrack of suspense/thriller ‘The Skulls’. Both musicians continue to work in music & film. Childress just completed scoring two short horror films this year and Evans works as both a film composer and sound designer.
Childress can still be seen playing live around the Southeast as part of the guitar slinging duo 2 Broke Kings. WIHFF Directors and horror filmmakers Samantha Kolesnik and Vanessa Ionta Wright are thrilled to add Childress and Evans to the list of special guests at the 2017 Women in Horror Film Festival. Other guests include Marianne Maddalena (Producer of Scream 1,2,3 & 4, The Hills Have Eyes, The Last House on the left), Heather Langenkamp & Amanda Wyss (A Nightmare on Elm Street), Jen & Sylvia Soska (Hellevator, American Mary, Dead Hooker in a Trunk), Lynn Lowry (The Crazies, Shivers, Cat People), Sonya Thompson (The Walking Dead, Zombieland), Horror Authors Mylo Carbia (The Raping of Ava DeSantis) and Meg Hafdahl (Twisted Reveries Series).
