“That’s right! The creators of the Plan 9 (http://plan9movie.com/) remake have their sights another Public Domain film Manos: The Hands of Fate.
John Johnson “I wanna treat this the way I did Plan 9. I don’t wanna poke fun, the plan is to take the material and story of the film and make a flick that honors the source as well as improve some of the flaws. Literally from the moment the teaser trailer dropped for P9 in 2009, I have been nudged by fans to do the same for Manos. And listening to the fans for a couple years now, I started to see what they were seeing. This is a very cool idea. I’m in.”
Johnson’s film simply entitled “MANOS” will be a dark horror take on the material. Pre-Production is set for summer of 2019 with Production set for early 2020.
