Review – The Blood Widow (2014)

blood widowIn a nutshell – a couple move next door to a house in which a massacre took place years before. The sole survivor of said massacre still resides there. The victims are a who’s who of horror movie stereo types: uptight girl, party girl, alpha male, coward, and etc….

If you’re looking for a smart, well written horror movie with decent actors….this is not for you. However if you wanna root for a masked killer to stalk, decapitate, disembowel, and torture a group of dumbasses….this IS a movie for you. Having said all that, I liked this movie. Here’s why, The killer, the “Blood Widow “, is a really good character. This isn’t a supernatural being, or a unstoppable psycho. Most masked movie killers are emotionless monsters. This is a girl who was tortured, abused and has a lot of pent up anger and rage. She releases that rage in the most violent of ways. Its not a great movie, but there are some cool death scenes and the “Blood Widow” character make it worth a watch.
