Illinois may not be the cultural movie mecca like say, L.A., but we do have our occasional moments! For those of you in the Springfiled, IL area, pencil in October 15th on your calendar and head out to the Pharmacy Gallery for Horror Fest!. Show starts at 7PM.

The Fall of the House of Usher (13 minutes, 1928)
In this gothic silent adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe’s story, a traveller arrives at the Usher mansion to find that the sibling inhabitants, Roderick and Madeline Usher, are living under a mysterious family curse.

The Black Imp (4 minutes, 1905)
One of the first known horror films! A traveler at an inn is harassed by a mischievous devil in his room.

Freaks (64 minutes, 1932)
Classic. A circus’ beautiful trapeze artist agrees to marry the leader of side-show performers, but his deformed friends discover she is only marrying him for his inheritance.

Admission $5 at door. Free popcorn.
