Kevin Makely, Todd A. Robinson, Summer Spiro, and horror-veteran Amanda Wyss (A Nightmare On Elm Street) make up the cast for the upcoming creature-feature “Big Legend” which wrapped principle cinematography in December. Filming took place in southwest Washington in and around the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, at the base of an actual volcano: Mt. St. Helens.
“Big Legend” follows an ex-soldier named Tyler (Makely) who ventures out into the Pacific Northwest wilderness in hopes of finding answers to the disappearance of his fiance (Spiro). After a series of strange and violent occurrences, Tyler finds himself relying on a mysterious poacher (Robinson) who just might have the answers he is looking for.
Written and directed by Justin Lee, he re-teamed with Makely, Robinson, and Spiro on “Big Legend”, having worked with all of them previously on other projects. “Talent is talent. And when you have that much talent in one film, all hungry to make something great, magic happens” said Lee. Lee worked with Makely and Robinson on the revenge-western “Any Bullet Will Do” and Spiro on the indie-drama ‘Swell”, both due out this Spring.
“Big Legend” is a Papa Octopus Production with Andrew Garrettson, Jamie Roberts, Justin Lee, and Kevin Makely producing. Shawn Nightingale and Marc Gold serve as Executive Producers with Gold’s Fresh Cats productions co-producing.
