VR Director teams up with Game of Thrones Sound Designer on horror immersive experience
Michael Conelly served as the creator, director, and producer for Caliban Below which is now available in AR for iPhone and iPad.
Michael is a prolific visual effects designer with over 20 years of experience, working as a digital effects supervisor on several large entertainment projects, these titles include Snow White and the Huntsman, Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant, The Kingdom, Fast & Furious, Charlotte’s Web, and Hop. Michael also serves as the president and creative director of Blackthorn Media, an Academy and Emmy award-winning team of content creators that are bringing their professional skills to interactive narrative in room-scale VR. Michael’s first ventures into writing and directing VR were with The Abbot’s Book and Dragonflight, which featured at Sundance and Tribeca.
The new version of the immersive story includes a re-release of the original novella, story extensions, as well as enhanced sound design from Game of Thrones sound designer Paula Fairfield.
