BOOK REVIEW – “At the Hands of Madness” by Kevin Holton

Kevin Holton presents an eclectic apocalypse. Monsters built of different influences such as kaiju and cyberpunk lead hell on Earth, in this story.
This book is a very pleasurable read thanks to the winks of the author to the reader, making it an emotional rollercoaster. Now you’re laughing, now you’re shaking. Characters are very real, the thread is a race against time and fortune. A training for the end of the world.

I like the cyberpunk stroke, the descriptions are accurate and you can perfectly imagine what Holton is narrating and that makes you grin more than once. I love that in books.
The tension is constant all through the book, and the author’s imagination tricks you and challenges your mind, even when you don’t expect it.

His writing is spotless and his effort in perfecting every detail is obvious. And appreciated. Thank you.
If you are a horror fan and enjoy robotics, grab this book. You’ll love it. Abominations with psychic control over humans, pyrotechnics, explosives, a superhuman, upside down people… (yes, you read right) and, above all, lots of blood.
