Danforth: Eldritch Tales of WWII, a thrilling combination of historical fiction and Lovecraftian horror. The Horror in the Lamplights is perfect for readers who love Nazi occult horror, WWII
supernatural thrillers, and cosmic horror steeped in real history. Danforth’s second investigation is an engrossing, creepy page-turner that proves evil doesn’t need a uniform to find a war worth fighting.
Romania—1942. OSS operative Robert Danforth parachutes behind Axis lines to investigate a lead obtained through the horrors he experienced in the Arabian desert. What he finds is the Ordinul Negru
—an unholy alliance between SS occultists and the surviving fanatics of an exiled Romanian order. Category News, Books]
In a remote Carpathian valley, children begin disappearing from the villages. Every clue leads to Castelul Umbrelor, an ancient fortress that appears abandoned by day. But at midnight, screams rise from beneath its walls.
At the center of it all is Elena, a young artist imprisoned within her ancestral manor. She has no memory of painting the nightmares filling her canvases. Yet, each morning, another part is completed. Each month, the SS carries a finished painting to the castle.
The last painting is almost complete. The gate is already beginning to open. An interrupted blood rite from World War I is reaching its
climax—and what crosses through will recognize neither nations nor armies as its master.
Bram Stoker Award®-winning author, Monique Snyman, says: “Danforth Vol. 2: The Horror in the Lamplights is a triumph of cosmic horror and historical fiction that’s both memorable and addictive
(more Danforth, please!). The book honors classic Lovecraftian tropes while pushing the narrative into deeper emotional and philosophical territory.” Danforth Vol. 2: The Horror in the Lamplights is available in paperback (978-1-968532-98-7) and on Amazon Kindle (B0H4DHHK8F).
