The Life-Size M3GAN Doll Exists, and We Have Some Serious Questions About Who’s Buying It

NECA has created a nearly five-foot-tall replica of everyone’s favorite homicidal AI companion. We’re not entirely convinced this should be legal without notifying the neighbors.

There comes a point in the horror collectibles industry when we really need to start asking some questions. Not necessarily about the quality of the products being manufactured, but about the decision-making process that allows certain things to exist in the first place.

Case in point: NECA’s life-size M3GAN replica doll.

Yes. It’s real. Yes. You can buy it. And yes, we’re more than a little concerned about who’s going to.

For the modest sum of $494.99, you can become the proud owner of a 55-inch-tall replica of everyone’s favorite artificially intelligent homicidal companion. And because apparently just looking terrifying wasn’t enough, this thing features an articulated internal skeleton, movable eyes, synthetic hair, and screen-accurate clothing.

That’s right. Someone went through the trouble of making sure her little shoes matched the ones in the movie.

We have questions.

First and Foremost, Who the Hell Is Buying This Thing?

Look, we love horror collectibles as much as anybody. We’ve got our action figures, our masks, our posters, and enough questionable memorabilia to make the average houseguest reconsider their friendship with us.

But there’s something uniquely unsettling about the idea of a grown adult purchasing a nearly five-foot-tall replica of a creepy little robot girl and then just… having her around.

In the living room? At the dinner table? Standing silently at the foot of the bed?

Just imagine waking up at 3 a.m. and seeing this staring at you from the bedroom doorway.

And we’re not suggesting that there’s anything inherently suspicious about purchasing a life-size replica of a little girl. We’re just saying that if NECA ever announces a promotional partnership with Chris Hansen, we probably shouldn’t be surprised.

“Why don’t you have a seat?”

Does This Thing Come With a Neighborhood Notification Requirement?

Actually, while we’re on the subject, does purchasing one of these automatically put your name on some kind of publicly searchable map? Is there a registry? And if you move, are you legally obligated to knock on your new neighbors’ doors and explain that you’ve brought a life-size M3GAN doll into the community?

Because, frankly, that seems like information people should have.

Of course, we’re kidding. Mostly.

We’re not suggesting that NECA has done anything wrong here. In fact, from a craftsmanship standpoint, the attention to detail is genuinely impressive. But that’s precisely what makes the whole thing so wonderfully bizarre.

The quality control is apparently fantastic. It’s the existential quality control we’re questioning.

Because at some point, shouldn’t somebody in the meeting have raised their hand and asked whether the world really needed a life-size M3GAN?

Apparently not.

Somewhere, Somebody Is Actually Getting One of These Delivered

And here’s the real kicker: these things aren’t just conceptual nightmares floating around a design studio. They’re actual physical objects being packaged, shipped, and delivered to people’s homes.

Yes, there’s even a box. Somewhere, a delivery driver is going to have a very interesting afternoon.

Somewhere in America, a delivery driver is going to hand someone a box containing a nearly five-foot-tall M3GAN.

And that person is going to be absolutely thrilled.

We don’t know whether to laugh, cry, or start a neighborhood watch.

If you’re one of the brave souls interested in welcoming M3GAN into your home, you can purchase the life-size replica directly from NECA.

Just do us a favor.

If you wake up one morning and she’s standing somewhere you didn’t leave her, don’t bother calling us.

We warned you.
