This fall, HitchCon returns for the sixth year with two days devoted to the strange magic of Hitchcock’s cinema and the filmmakers who followed in his wake! I’m delighted to announce of three of this year’s presenters: Thomas Leitch, author of The Encyclopedia of Alfred Hitchcock, JF Martel, co-host of the acclaimed Weird Studies podcast and author of Reclaiming Art in the Age of Artifice and Victoria Nelson, author of the modern classics The Secret Life of Puppets, Gothicka and Neighbor George.
Their work is perfectly suited to this year’s theme. We’ll be peering beyond the veil of Hitchcock’s films to explore their doubles, dream logic, mythic and occult resonances and other manifestations of his uncanny power.

One of the marquee events this year will be a special session devoted to David Lynch, the late wizard of high weirdness and one of Hitchcock’s most fascinating artistic heirs.
