Wanna See a Director’s Cut of Stephen King’s “Carrie”? Here’s How!

Carrie_Domestic_One-sheetThis one practically escaped our radar, BUT having seen the remake in the theater, I remember liking it, but feeling like it was a little, “thin”, a little “trimmed”. Well, read the below email and find out why as well as participate in a chance to let the extended version that never played theaters finally see the light of day!!!

“There’s a petition for a Carrie (2013) Extended Director’s Cut DVD
and Blu-Ray release. The version shown at test screenings had more
gore and brutal violence, more character development, five alternate
endings, a White Commission, Carrie blowing up her town, more social
media, and scenes from the book…The version shown… was just a rehash of Brian DePalma’s movie
but the original intention was to be closer to the book. Sadly, the
studio… made it a modernized scene for
scene version of the 1976 flick. They took the director’s vision and
left over 30 minutes on the cutting room floor, not even to be put on
the Blu-Ray as deleted scenes. It has over 10,600 signatures… The studios haven’t picked a release
date yet but if there are more signatures it could happen sooner than
we think. Please share it on your site/page, sign it, and respond to
this email. Thank you!”
