A DARK QUEST INTO A WORLD OF MAGIC AND MONSTERS
Directed by Oliver Hollingdale and featuring narration by Jason Flemyng, this medieval fantasy brings together an unlikely fellowship in a story of sacrifice, deception and second chances. BLACK MANDALA is proud to present THE REALM OF ELDERVIN, a grimdark adventure for audiences drawn to the fellowship-driven quests of The Lord of the Rings and the sinister medieval atmosphere of Black Death. Hollingdale’s film leads a band of flawed heroes into a mythical land where dark magic takes a human toll and the line between good and evil is far from certain.
A mysterious sickness has fallen over the village of Gallowmere. As rumours spread of a shadow haunting a forest to the northeast, Jonas the Mage recruits three companions—Dagon the Rogue, Nimue the Elf and Solomon the Assassin—to uncover its source. What begins as a mission to save the village becomes a journey into deception and danger, where appearances cannot be trusted.
Combining the familiar pleasures of a fantasy quest with a darker story of personal fears and moral choices, THE REALM OF ELDERVIN asks whether those seeking to defeat evil can also seize a second chance for themselves. Natural landscapes, handcrafted costumes and detailed sets give this world a weathered, lived-in character. The emphasis on physical surroundings and atmosphere grounds the adventure in earth, shadow and steel, while keeping its heroes’ emotional struggles at the centre.
British actor Jason Flemyng, known for Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch and X-Men: First Class, lends his voice as narrator, guiding audiences through the shadows of Gallowmere.
THE REALM OF ELDERVIN is represented internationally by BLACK MANDALA.
