Review – Bible Black (2019)

What is Bible Black?   Is it a comic book, a film, a view of something larger coming later?  It is a short film approximately twenty two minutes long.  An anthology told through still drawn images with voice over, sound effects and music. The artwork is intriguing and there are plenty of graphics to keep the viewer focused on the film.

Every story has a different mood and sound effects help balance the mood with the voice over.  The music is what sets the final tone of any film. The music used is a good fit for each story in the film.  One story, Lobster Girl, is split up into three parts over the course of the film.

I found the film engaging but this format was not my favorite. Someone else may look at this and get completely drawn into the experience.  Watching this gave me the feeling that this may be either part of a larger project or something like a trailer for an anthology film to come later.  The production is very good and if you have half an hour it may be the film for you.
