Breaking Glass Pictures Releases Horror Thriller
DARK DISTORTION on March 3, 2026

Not All Footage Stays Buried
Breaking Glass Pictures announces the worldwide VOD release of Dark Distortion, a visceral supernatural horror thriller arriving March 3, 2026. Directed and written by Joseph Herrera (Under Control Productions), the film blends found footage, crime, and psychological terror into a chilling story about voyeurism, influence, and the consequences of being watched.

When a group of adult models turn to theft for a quick score, they unknowingly steal a camcorder containing something far more dangerous than incriminating footage — the restless spirit of a murdered child. As the tape reveals disturbing truths and reality begins to fracture, the group is pulled into a spiral of violence, possession, and moral decay with no escape from the camera’s gaze.

Starring April Hartman (Victoria), Ethan Vaughan (Manny), Jada Jay(Nina), Joe Walker (Jeremy), Miles Stoner (Red), and Kionna Williams(Charlotte), Dark Distortion is a relentless descent into cursed media, haunted technology, and urban supernatural horror. Drawing comparisons to The Ring, V/H/S, and Archive 81, the film reimagines found footage through a modern lens of social influence and digital obsession.

“I chose Breaking Glass Pictures to distribute my film because I felt truly seen — not just as a filmmaker, but as a person,” said director Joseph Herrera. “I wasn’t just another title in a lineup. I’m excited to continue building this relationship and bringing Dark Distortion to audiences who are ready for something raw and fearless.”

More than a traditional horror film, Dark Distortion explores the dangers of constant surveillance and the cost of chasing visibility at any price. As sex, power, and violence blur on screen, the film asks a haunting question: when attention becomes currency, who survives — and who controls the narrative?

“This film captures a uniquely modern horror — where attention, technology, and violence collide. Dark Distortion is disturbing, relevant, and impossible to look away from.” Rich Wolff, CEO, Breaking Glass Pictures
