Once Upon A Killing Time
– New Anthology from Michael Moutsatsos

Anthology stories to die for in Once Upon a Killing Time from the twisted mind of Michael Moutsatsos comes a disturbing tale of obsession, survival, and vengeance.

At 13, Mikki Mouse is a child battling OCD and life on the spectrum. One fateful afternoon, he rushes home from school and locks himself in the bathroom, where he pulls out a plastic bag filled with dead rats, birds, and other creatures, signs of his deteriorating mind. Meanwhile, his mother, Kate Mouse, oblivious to her son’s sinister behavior, prepares dinner in the kitchen.

A simple moment becomes tragic when Mikki grabs a pot of boiling water off the stove. A struggle ensues, and the scorching liquid spills across his face. Desperately, Kate offers him nothing more than an ice cube for the burns. Later that night, she enters his room with a syringe in hand, and her betrayal becomes clear as she drags Mikki to the LA river, dumping him like forgotten trash.

But Mikki’s story doesn’t end there. He encounters a homeless man who takes an unsettling interest in him. In a violent confrontation, Mikki stabs the man to death, unleashing a darkness that will forever change him. With cold, calculated vengeance, Mikki returns home, kills his mother, and takes her money, his comic books, and his favorite Mickey Mouse mask.

Now, Mikki’s murderous journey begins. Welcome to our clubhouse.

Once Upon a Killing Time is a chilling descent into the mind of a boy broken by neglect and driven to become something far more terrifying.
