The official trailer dropped today for “Cult Of Nightmares”, a Canadian sci-fi/horror film about an insomnia drug that causes more than just bizarre nightmares.
“Cult Of Nightmares” is a low-budget feature steeped in conspiracy theories: mass disappearances, population control and a secret alliance between the ruling elite, the military-industrial complex and terrorists from another dimension called The Others.
The film stars an ensemble led by Damian Romeo (from the upcoming Netflix series Ginny & Georgia) and features prolific Toronto-actor Steve Kasan (Lifechanger) as conspiracy theorist Ben Malick.
“Cult” will join the horror/sci-fi/fantasy festival circuit in 2020.
SYNOPSIS:
An insomnia drug mysteriously linked to the military and its Global War On Terror causes strange nightmares ignored by the press. When a young security guard takes a job following a woman fighting the media blackout, he’s sucked into a larger conspiracy involving a plot tied to the One Percent and a bizarre cult from the 1900s.
Don’t trust the media. Don’t believe the lies. The Others are coming. In fact… they’re already
here.
