TERROR FILMS RELEASING has teamed with writer / director Lance Toddto release his horror film, “Beyond The North Woods”.
The film follows an obnoxious influencer who encounters a time-bending threat while filming his latest video in the mysterious woods of Northern Minnesota.
Todd, who also produced the film, shared his thoughts about making of the film:
“When Logan Paul made a video showing a corpse in the Japanese Suicide Forest, I knew I wanted to make a movie with that premise. There was something so dark about a content creator traveling somewhere sacred and disrespecting everything.
Like many filmmakers, I am greatly inspired by The Blair Witch Project and have always wanted to make my own found footage movie. This premise would allow me to make a culturally modern version of that film. Instead of film students making a documentary, we would be influencers making clickbait. Instead of shooting on a film camera, we would shoot on an iPhone. The idea was to start with something familiar before twisting the movie around itself and trying new things in the genre.”
