ELECTRONIC MUSICIANS WHITEQUBE ANNOUNCE TODAY’S RELEASE OF “DESIGN FLAWS,” FIRST SINGLE/VIDEO FROM UPCOMING NEW EP

Whiteqube proudly announces the release of the first video for the title track of their upcoming EP, Design Flaws.

Who is Whiteqube? It’s a musical duo: Jason Schary and T. Ryan Arnold. Schary is a well-known DJ in the alternative LA club scene, having spun at some of the most popular weekly nightclubs. He continues to spin numerous times a week to packed dance floors. Longtime friends Schary and Arnold formed Whiteqube in Los Angeles in 2010.
Whiteqube blends intricate synth sounds and intense beats with dark vocals. The duo’s music is starkly honest and multi-faceted. Their music fuses genres as well: EDM, techno, pop, EBM and even a rock edge, at times.

Gearing up to the release of Design Flaws, the title track and accompanying video are out today, August 24. The video is a trippy depiction of a woman (actor Cimcie Nichols, who originally came up with the concept) in an eerie setting, who finds a magical cube. “One of the main lyrics in ‘Design Flaws’ is, ‘We are losing our minds.’ So Cimcie suggested we come up with a video where the ‘whiteqube’ (a glowing, floating white cube) would take control of her body and she would lose her mind,” Schary reveals. “Next thing you know, we were in the middle of the Salton Sea area filming. It went from an idea we were interested in to the final product which went far beyond what we were expecting. The director, Steven Shea, and Cimcie both come from a horror film background. We cannot believe what they accomplished. The Salton Sea has crazy Mars-like geography. Everything was shot on location; we didn’t use any green screen.”
