Frolic Pictures releases new ‘Grindhouse Series’ on DVD

Jared Masters has teamed up with Allied Vaughn to reintroduce some rare B-movie gems from a bygone era. See all ten. DVDs can be purchased at major online stores like Best Buy and Target.

The Frolic Grindhouse Series includes:

RatMan (1988)

A maniac butchers a fashion model on a Caribbean island and leaves the body to be eaten by rats. The model’s sister suspects something isn’t quite right with the police investigation and decides to go snooping on her own. With her friend, Fred, their investigations lead them to an unknown part of the island where they discover a monstrosity of a rat like man. The creature is killed by Fred, but the true horror of it’s nature is just beginning…

Centipede Horror (1982)

A crazed evil wizard uses his powers to take revenge on beautiful women by making them vomit up live centipedes, which then proceed to eat their victims.

Calamity of Snakes (1982)

After a business man kills thousands of snakes in pit where they are building a new apartment building. The people living there soon become attacked by thousands of snakes as vengeance.

Fighting Life (1981)

Frank Shum and Jack Conn are back in the third installment in this incredible “Crippled Masters” franchise. They’re moving from their rural home into the city of Taipei in search of employment which is tough while training for the Kung-Fu Championship. City life isn’t easy for our two crippled heroes while fighting off local gangsters, struggling to make rent, and even foiling would be thieves.

Last Stop on 13th Street (AKA Alien Zone (1978)

A man who is having an affair with a married woman is dropped off on the wrong street when going back to his hotel. He takes refuge out of the rain when an old man invites him in. He turns out to be a mortician, who tells him the stories of the people who have wound up in his establishment over the course of four stories.

Black Cobra Woman (1976)

Judas, a wealthy playboy living in Hong Kong, is obsessed with snakes. His apartment is full of them, and he treats them as if they were his children. One night Judas’ brother persuades him to accompany him to see a dance act at a nightclub. Judas is astounded to see that the act consists of a beautiful Asian woman who dances nude while holding a python. He is immediately smitten, and winds up hiring her to take care of his snakes while he’s away on business. However, things start to take a sinister turn.

Bad Girls Go to Hell (1965)

After hubby Ted goes to work, Ellen putters around the apartment in her nightgown cleaning up. When she takes the trash out, the janitor forces her into his apartment and rapes her. When he tries to rape her again, she dispatches him and then hits the road, a fugitive from injustice. She goes to the Big City and encounters a string of situations where she gets used and abused. When she finally finds a nice woman to rent from, the woman’s son turns out to be a detective, which threatens her newly found identity and peace of mind.
