During his time as a contractor, Dallas moved to Austin, TX, and began pursuing film. In between deployments to Iraq, he integrated himself into the film community gaining what experience he could. in 2016, he resigned from contracting to fully pursue a career in film. Soon after, he joined co-writer, Ian Neligh and the two wrote four feature screenplays, one of which, HYDE, went into production in 2018 making this his directorial debut.
