Ancient secrets, mysterious rituals, and a race against time take center stage in Cantamen, an upcoming Italian fantasy survival horror film from writer-director Giuliano Tomassacci.

Trust the tunes. Secure the passages. Keep the secret. Live in her because she lives in us.
An Ancient Secret Worth Dying For
At the center of Cantamen are three unlikely guardians: a shy young farmer, a solitary scholar of ancient music, and a celebrated, unconventional concert conductor.
Each has been entrusted with protecting an ancient secret and preserving a ritual hidden from the dangers of the modern world.
But when an unforeseen tragedy threatens their mission, the guardians must confront a terrifying ordeal and make personal sacrifices to protect a mysterious being.
The story follows Kantika (Giulia Pizzi), a solitary young farmer charged with keeping the secret safe. When she becomes inexplicably trapped in a surreal nightmare, Marius (Fabio Gagliardi) and Musikha (Gabriela Iliescu) embark on a desperate mission to rescue her.
Their journey also involves protecting Animunhi (Kate Bash), an ancient soul whose survival may depend on the sacrifices they are willing to make.
Italian Folklore Meets Survival Horror
Filmed entirely in Italy’s Lazio region, Cantamen makes extensive use of historic and folkloric locations, including the archaeological park of Città del Tufo, the ancient settlement of Vitozza, and the Orsini Fortress in Sorano.
These atmospheric locations provide the backdrop for a story combining contemporary fantasy, folklore, and survival horror.
The film is written, produced, and directed by Giuliano Tomassacci, whose previous projects include Three Mirrors Creature’s Flashes of Flesh and LaBouche Canalla Wins Her Snack.
