“THE ENEMY”

By Charlie Higson

Book One of “THE ENEMY” Series

From the first page, “THE ENEMY” shoots out of the gate at a dead sprint and does not stop. Higson’s prose, fast pace, creativity and originality will keep you on the edge of your seat, yearning for the next page.

We are thrust into a chaotic new world, on the streets of London one year after “the disaster”. Everyone older than 16 has either died from or succumbed to a strange new illness. Adults have become mindless eating machines, leaving the children untouched… Except by the adults themselves.

In this unique take on the zombie apocolype, Higson’s writing style will quickly land you amongst a ragtag group of children, fighting for survival along side them.

The author’s ability to telegraph a punch, while still keeping you wondering if you have the right of it, is uncanny. The suspense is built in plain sight. Almost every twist and turn is laid out before you, but in such a way as to make you doubt your own intuition.

A “Must Read” for Thriller, Suspense, Horror and Zombie fans alike. Be prepared to have your heart pounding from start to finish, rooting for these kids as they fight for their lives.
