Anomaly – The Rochester Genre Film Festival is thrilled to be hosting the first U.S. screening of the brand-new holiday horror anthology DEATHCEMBER on Sunday, November 10, followed by an in-person Q&A with three of its filmmakers.
The first cinematic advent calendar, DEATHCEMBER contains 24 terrifying visions by 24 international genre directors, ready to fill your holiday season with a festive bloodbath of mirth and delight. This U.S. preview screening will be the first chance for audiences to see the film anywhere in North America.
The film contains segments directed by Ruggero Deodato (CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST), Lucky McKee (THE WOMAN), Pollyanna McIntosh (DARLIN’), Trent Haaga (68 KILL) and Julian Richards (THE LAST HORROR MOVIE) alongside exciting international talents Isaac Ezban (THE SIMILARS), Lee Sang-woo (BARBIE) and Lazar Bodroza (A.I. RISING), plus a number of Blumhouse alumni such as Jason A. Rostovsky (DON’T BE AFRAID OF THE LIGHT) and Sam Wineman (THE QUIET ROOM), just to name a few! The cast includes genre mainstays Barbara Crampton, AJ Bowen, Tiffany Shepis, Barbara Magnolfi, and acclaimed actors Sean Bridgers, and Richard Glover.
Anomaly’s screening of DEATHCEMBER will be preceded by a special eggnog and “gingerdead” cookie mixer for passholders and guests, and then followed by a live, in-person Q&A panel with three members of the film’s production team: writer-director Vivienne Vaughn, composer Andrew Scott Bell, and co-writer/director Zach Shildwachter.
