Dracula AI Audio Drama Takes Listeners Back to Castle Dracula

Bram Stoker’s legendary vampire novel is getting a new full-cast audio adaptation, and this time, artificial intelligence is helping bring the Count and his unfortunate victims to life.

Just in time for Halloween, Richian Studios has launched Richian Presents: Dracula, a new Dracula AI audio drama that brings Bram Stoker’s original 1897 vampire novel to life through distinct AI-generated character voices while preserving the author’s unabridged text.

Rather than reinventing Dracula for another generation, the production embraces the structure that made Stoker’s novel so effective in the first place. The story unfolds through journal entries, personal letters, telegrams, and other documents, allowing listeners to experience the growing horror through the perspectives of the characters themselves.

And really, what better way to revisit one of horror’s most enduring stories than to return to the source material?

A Return to Castle Dracula

The series begins with Jonathan Harker’s journey into Transylvania, where the young English solicitor travels to meet a mysterious nobleman interested in purchasing property in England.

As Harker approaches the Borgo Pass, the warnings become increasingly ominous. Superstitious villagers, wolves in the darkness, and an unsettling carriage ride all signal that something is terribly wrong.

Of course, horror fans know exactly what awaits him at the castle.

What makes Richian Presents: Dracula particularly interesting is its commitment to Stoker’s original storytelling. Instead of relying on a single narrator, the production assigns individual voices to the characters, allowing their accounts to build the story piece by piece.

The voices themselves are AI-generated, while the casting, direction, and editing are handled by the creative team of Rich and Adrian.

It’s an unconventional approach to adapting a literary classic, particularly as the entertainment industry continues to debate the role of artificial intelligence in creative production. Here, the technology is being used to deliver a full-cast presentation of the original text rather than rewrite or modernize it.

Six Chapters Available Now

The series launched October 5, 2026, and has already reached its sixth installment, The Churchyard at Whitby, released October 16.

The latest chapter follows Mina Murray and Lucy Westenra as they spend time in the seaside town of Whitby, while Dr. Seward continues observing the increasingly disturbing behavior of his patient, Renfield.

The production is releasing new chapters twice weekly throughout October, with subsequent installments scheduled for Mondays until the novel is complete.

The opening chapters are available to listen to for free, making this an easy addition to any horror fan’s Halloween listening lineup.

Whether you’re discovering Stoker’s story for the first time or returning to Castle Dracula for another visit, this new audio adaptation offers a different way to experience the original tale.

And if there’s one thing we’ve learned from more than a century of vampire stories, it’s that you can never keep Dracula buried for long.
