THIS HALLOWEEN… HE’S WATCHING: INDIE HOME-INVASION THRILLER ‘CHOKE ON IT’ NOW STREAMING ON TUBI
Just in time for the spooky season, indie film powerhouse ILLA BLACK Productions has announced that its highly anticipated home-invasion thriller, CHOKE ON IT, is now officially streaming for free on Tubi. Crafted by the dynamic cousin filmmaking duo Kelley Allen and Rachel Sazon, the film delivers a dark, twisted, and terrifyingly intimate cinematic experience perfect for Halloween viewing.
CHOKE ON IT follows a group of cousins who rent a secluded house for what is supposed to be a celebratory birthday weekend getaway. However, the festivities quickly sour into a living nightmare when they realize a sinister presence is already inside the house, lurking in the shadows. The celebration takes a deadly turn as the real, uninvited guest of honor decides to make his move.
Beyond the tension on screen, the production boasts a killer behind-the-scenes twist that sets it apart from traditional horror fare: written, directed, and produced by Allen and Sazon, nearly the entire cast consists of their actual, real-life family members—with the lone exception being the actor portraying the ruthless killer. This unique casting dynamic injects a genuine, palpable chemistry into the performances, raising the stakes as a real family faces off against an absolute stranger.
“We wanted to create something that felt intensely personal but deeply unsettling,” said the filmmaking duo. “Bringing our own family into the fold allowed us to capture authentic bonds and reactions, making the terror of the home invasion hit incredibly close to home. It’s dark, it’s twisted, and it’s the ultimate holiday treat for horror fans.”
CHOKE ON IT is available to stream now on Tubi.
