For those of you who have not seen the trailer for the Friday the 13th fan film “Jason Rising”, STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING and watch it now!!! (embedded at the end of this article for your convenience…) We truly have been blessed with some superb Friday the 13th fan films within the last couple of years. Vincente Disante’s “Never Hike Alone” was not only a triumph but fit so well into the franchise’s canon that it’s inclusion is practically seamless. Director James Sweet’s “Jason Rising” looks as though it will be no exception, giving us yet another fantastic fan-made chapter in horror’s favorite saga.
We were lucky enough to catch up with James hot on the heels of the premiere of the trailer to talk about his film as well as, of course, our favorite hockey-masked psychopath. Enjoy!
